Until, about 10 minutes later, a low roll of thunder rumbles overhead...which is soon followed by the solid THUD THUD! of two large bird feet settling on the roof overhead.]
[A 15-foot bird looms from its perch on top of the house, looking something like a cross between an eagle and a crow: Long, black beak. Sharp talons that could puncture though a man in one fell swoop. Raincloud-colored feathers. Its white head is streaked with gold, while a single, smooth gem rests at the center of the forehead.
Obi-Wan might recognize it as the bird Vyng rode during their encounter with the Purifier and the living storm — albeit a little bit larger, and without any of its previous down feathers.
From the bird's back, Vyng peers down with a grin.]
[Ezra's been sleeping very lightly this month, the constant light of the moon stirring in his blood as it does. Still, it takes him a moment to orient, once he snaps awake, and then scramble to open the window to his room to peer up, as well a reach to check in the Force.]
...everything ok?
[Even as he asks, he notes the feeling of distinctly good moods. Oh. Well. The polite thing to do is tuck his mental 'feelers' away and let his question be answered out loud.]
Yep. [Vyng grins and gives Ezra a thumbs up.] A-okay, buddy. Sorry for the ceiling-stomping. Cloudpiercer here's a big boy, and he likes his rooftop landings.
[The bird (who's been observing the scene with a sharp-eyed intelligence common for his species) promptly caws — as though backing Vyng's assertion that this was, in fact, one-hundred percent his choice.]
[Vyng glances at Obi-Wan, considering the offer for a moment. Normally he's the one who makes breakfast back at his house. But Billie and Tuck aren't exactly early risers, so—]
Sure. I wouldn't mind a small bite to eat. I'll have to head home right after, though.
[Ezra breaks into a slightly smug grin. Hey, now he's got a timeline on this trip, they get to go have an adventure, and he gets to feed some of his favorite people when they're back to safer ground. This winning all around, as fair as he's concerned.]

Well, it was clearly important to my friend here.
[Landing on the roof, that is.]
