More than enough. [She takes a small step back from Obi-Wan to give him space for igniting his lightsaber. She had already been sliced by one already and wasn't looking to have a repeat experience.]
Whenever you're ready. You won't be hurt for very long.
[ he adjusts the setting on his saber before pressing it against his arm. there is a little sizzle and it leaves a faint burn before obi-wan pulls his saber away, retracting the blade. ]
That should do it. [She came back to him, carefully taking his arm in gloved hands.]
I suppose, focus on what it is I'm doing as best you can? But not just with your eyes. [She gazed at the burn. Such a small wound wouldn't really require much of anything from her. So she summoned her light and her own energy, just a small bit of it, and from her hands, light spread out and wrapped around Obi-Wan's arm, seeping into the wound. Her own life energy finding all the damage and loss the burn had caused.
Her life energy weaved in and out of every damaged cell, every membrane. Where it found aches and pains, it wrapped around it, soothing it away, restoring it cell by cell in a blink.
Until the burn was gone as if it had never been, and the light faded away.]
[ that seems easy enough. the force is tied to all things, life and cosmic energy. and he can pluck the threads, seeing where it starts and where it goes.
still, that light . . . ]
Is that just your life force? I sense something else.
The thing you're sensing? Well, that would be this.
[She summoned her ginzuishou, the crystal floating gently in its closed form in front of her chest. Usagi had no hesitation in showing him the crystal, she knew she could trust Obi-Wan with this.
However, even in its closed form, the crystal radiated immense power and light.]
This is my heart.
It's what Maul stole from not so many months ago for that rampage of his. He could not really properly use its power but it boosted his own nonetheless. [Really, no one outside of her bloodline could properly use its power.]
[ obi-wan doesn't reach out to it. the power it radiates makes him feel a little cold, even though it is nothing but warm. but he's never been comfortable with power, even his own. ]
How old is it? It's more than just your heart, is it not?
[She pulls it close to her. She doesn't really feel one way or the other about power. She has it, and she uses it to protect her loved ones and her friends, but it's also why she's been hunted down so much, why her entire kingdom was destroyed.]
It has existed for millennia upon millennia, its light is as old as my galaxy. It was my mother's before it became mine, but she passed it on to me upon my birth. [And one day, Usagi may very well let her light be absorbed into the Cauldron so a new star may have the chance, but for now, it was hers, and hers it would remain.]
My body... well, that's only about 18. But my heart and my memories are several... thousands of years old. [Both as Princess Serenity of the past, and as Neo-Queen Serenity to come.]
[She gestured to his arm.] While I will always be hunted for my abilities, I am also able to help those in need.
I know it is not my abilities that allow me to meet people and befriend them, but I have them all the same, and they play a part in my life. I am my powers as much as they are me.
I think we need to figure out how for you to use the Force and move it into a person in a similar way I would. You're not going to use your own life energy, I don't think. But rather... we need for you to grasp the Force and let it move into someone when you ask it to.
Or, well, I guess that would be how we could translate it. I... will be 100% honest, I don't even know if that's what the Force DOES.
Here, my turn to get burned. Can't have you be the one to keep getting hurt. Don't worry, I can handle it. I want you to try and convince the Force to move into me and heal me... though you'll have to do it before my magic does it for me.
[ he's never had any doubts there. he makes it quick, leaving a faint burn before putting the saber away and concentrating on her wound. it's hard. he's always called the force in traditional ways, to push, to pull, to suggest . . .
despite all his leanings towards pacifism, obi-wan can't say he's a complete believer. and the force knows, digging its heels at him. ]
[She does not wince when the wound comes, having suffered much worse and having a ridiculously high pain tolerance, plus, Obi-Wan did as promised, making it quick.
She watched as nothing happened before she reached out with her other hand, resting it on top of Obi-Wan's wrist.]
Don't pull. [She offered.]
Ask. [That's what she always did with her own powers, asking them time and again to support her, to give her what she needed to protect those she loved. She could only hope it would work the same with the Force and Obi-Wan.]
[ ask. it's odd how that has never crossed his mind. the force has always been with him, one and the same. but they're not. he commands it, but perhaps commanding is not the way to go.
so he asks, a gentle nudge to the life force around them. and the force answers. ]

I'll give myself a slight burn. It should be enough.

But it sounds like a lot of responsibility as well.

I was given the chance to give it up, to let someone else take up the power it holds, the responsibilities it comes with.
But there are too many I love and want to protect.

No regrets?

So let's turn you into a healer.
