Well, there's sorta a reason. See, my name means rabbit, which, is an animal since I don't know if you have those in your galaxy either. Anyway, they're known for eating carrots. But you know what, they actually shouldn't even EAT carrots all that much.

Now, imagine being named after a rabbit as a baby cause it's absolutely cute! Now imagine every. single. holiday. and. birthday. ever. in. existence. where someone thinks oh ha ha I'm soooooooo clever giving the rabbit girl a CARROT haha! So clever! No one ELSE has EVER done this to her before!

But it's NOT funny, Obi-Wan-san. It's not funny and you're not the first and it's not clever and I HATE CARROTS. I HATE THEM SO MUCH THAT I THINK THEY EVEN RUIN CAKE!

[ he chuckles softly. ]

Yes, I can see why an association like that can be exhausting. No wonder you were put off. I think our rabbits, the Lepi are mostly carnivores from what I remember.

[lightthedarkness]

[She takes a deep breath to calm down, several people staring at their table before going back to their own business. She let go of the breath.]

So, yes, I hate carrots. And neat! I like that I don't have to explain rabbits at least. So yeah, I can eat anything except carrots.

What about you? Any big "absolutely nos?"

[ he shrugs loosely. ]

I don't think so. I traveled a lot so having an open-mind was necessary. Plus, my master was big on . . . natural cuisines so quite often, it was roots, vegetables and nothing else.

I know Jedis don't focus on like, monetary stuff, but can a Jedi at least indulge in a super nice meal? I don't know that I would call this that, but maybe somewhere down the line?

[Obi-Wan deserved nice things.]

We certainly do from time to time. It's certainly not all strict and meagre meals.

It's just that we tend to wander a lot, so we make the most of whatever we get. But I do get invited to my fair share of banquets.

[lightthedarkness]

Ah! That's great! And not at all surprising. You're amazing company and super smart [And stupidly handsome.] So You probably have all sorts of invitations! [She grins.]

I'm glad to hear other people realize how awesome you are.

[jedies]

[ he chuckles. ]

I suppose I do have quite the reputation. It's been interesting navigating this place while being known to some but unknown to many.

[lightthedarkness]

Well known for good things, I hope. [And not just "the man Maul wants to kill" or "Anakin's babysitter Master." Obi-Wan deserved to be known on his own merit.]

How have you been settling in, anyway, Obi-Wan-san? Do you know what your blood type is?

[jedies]

I believe I am a . . . Coldblood? From what I can tell.

[lightthedarkness]

I think that means you can now produce fire and ice? I think? Or maybe that's a different blood type, but... I don't know. I'm a Paleblood and I can't do half the things I'm hearing other Palebloods do.

[As usual.]

I managed a little fire and uh . . . [ obi-wan coughs delicately. ] . . . lightning.

[lightthedarkness]

Oh! That's really cool! ... Uhm, maybe don't tell that to Maul, though. [Usagi does not understand the significance of lightning for Obi-Wan.]

[jedies]

I certainly don't plan to.

[ a little huff. ]

I'd rather trade the ability for something else.

[lightthedarkness]

Eh? Why?

[ ah. interesting that she doesn't know. ]

Lightning is a Dark Side ability. Only the strongest of Sith can conjure lightning and it is one of the hardest powers to counter. That's why Maul isn't too fond of it. They use it . . . regularly on each other.

Pain is an unfortunate tenet of the Dark Side.

[lightthedarkness]

Oh...

OH! Oh my gosh! Ah... yeah... I could see why you wouldn't... want that.

[Usagi had a very different view on lightning, but that's because the Goddess of Lightning was Makoto, and Makoto was one of the most loving, gentle, caring, and protective people in existence.]

What would you want, if you could choose?

[jedies]

Healing, I suppose. Though that's a difficult art, even for the Jedi.

[lightthedarkness]

What... would it take for you to learn that? Like, what would you have to do in the Force?

[jedies]

I'm . . . not sure to be honest. It is a notoriously difficult skill to have. And I never possessed the patience or the skill to follow the path of a Jedi Healer.

[lightthedarkness]

[She bit her lip.]

Does... it have to be a Jedi healer?

[jedies]

[ he blinks. ]

What do you mean?

[lightthedarkness]

Uuum...

So... uh, I can heal. And I'm actually pretty good at it? [A nervous laugh.] So... I don't know if it would even work but if you explained how healing works in the Force, maybe I could... sorta figure out if it compares to mine?

If you'd want! I know... I mean, I don't know how good of a teacher I would even be- if at all! Or if this would even work! I just...

[Her face is getting redder as she speaks and her voice softer until it trails off.]

I didn't know you could heal. That is an extraordinary power.

[ infinitely more impressive than hurting people or physical power in obi-wan's eyes. ]

We can certainly give it a chance.

[lightthedarkness]

[Usagi immediately went beet red. She scratched the back of her head.]

Ah, I... yeah. I um... healed a few people back in Deerington. At first, Deerington took it from me, but I got it back in the end. And it's back to normal here, though probably not to the same degree as... back home.

And yeah! I'd uh, like to do that for you, with you... or at least try.
